fabric SELECTS returns with the sixth instalment of the series, this time with a selection of house, tech house and progressive house tracks from some of the best producers, both established and budding across the scene.

Alongside the 16 track digital album will be a limited run of a 'Hand Stamped Sleeve + Naked Vinyl',  that will feature 6 original cuts from the compilation. 

Launching SELECTS VI is the British House duo The Trip. They have offered up their single ‘House Tool’ out on 29th January.

The groove-laden rhythm, ‘House Tool’ is reminiscent of 90’s underground house music. Choppy four-to-floor beats blend seamlessly with an infectious beat, perfect for the dancefloor. Curating a versatile journey, ‘House Tool’ kicks off the VA compilation with The Trip’s effortless talent.

Speaking about the record, The Trip explains: “We made this track at Oli's house one afternoon in October. It's inspired by some of the jacking sounds of the 90s US house scenes. It was made in our usual process - inside the box and with a bunch of samples we found from some old records.”

With the launch of fabric SELECTS in 2022 under the fabric Originals imprint, the label takes a fresh approach to the club’s musical curation. Moving away from traditional DJ mixes, the series focuses on original tracks from both established and emerging underground artists. Each volume is carefully curated to capture the energy, diversity, and momentum of the dancefloor, offering a snapshot of the current scene through fabric’s ears rather than a single DJ’s set.
